CAMP FACILITIES: We have a 50-seat theater with stage fully equipped for rock band rehearsals, plus multiple other classrooms available for smaller sectional rehearsals.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: For young musicians going into Grades 4-12, our rock band camps provide an opportunity to play the music they like with their peers. A minimum of one year of lessons is required. Repertoire is selected by the group, which rehearses every day. A typical day includes group lessons in the morning, a lunchtime jam with staff, and band rehearsals in the afternoon. The week culminates with a show on late Friday afternoon. Blue Bear's instructors are among the most experienced in the Bay Area.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Los Angeles Maritime Institute was founded to better serve at risk youth in 1992 but our founder Jim Gladson had been working to that for many years prior. We work to give kids skills that cannot be gained at home or in a class room include team building, problem solving, decision-making, planning, self-reliance and leadership. And sailing is part of the global human heritage that we want everyone to experience at least once in their lives. We also believe that the best way to get kids impassioned about protecting the ocean, which we all rely on, is to show them first hand how amazing and fun it can be.

1) Youth Academy - Designed for boys and girls ages 6-10. Fun, exciting and engaging activities are all part of the week. 2) Junior Academy - Designed for boys & girls, goalkeepers and field players ages 10-13. Each session will be progressive in nature and will conclude with a relative small-sided game that will highlight the topic of the session. Competitive tournaments will be played throughout the week, and be the highlight of our evening sessions.

3) Senior Academy - Designed for High School players, including incoming freshmen, who are ready to play and be trained at the next level. . Throughout the week, players will be put in a competitive environment that will bring out their very best. Players will be exposed to the four dimensions of training, Physical, Technical, Tactical and Psychological. In our unique evening competitions, players will have the opportunity to compete against other teams, other players and themselves.

4) College Prep Academy - Our goal is to provide an incredible environment where serious soccer players will be exposed to the highest level of instruction in anticipation of playing at the highest level possible. High Performance Seminars will be led by trusted experts in their field and will include: Sports Nutrition, Soccer Specific Conditioning, ACT/SAT Preparation and Sport Psychology. Goalkeepers and field players will be exposed to an intensive training environment for those who are serious about fulfilling their potential.

5) College Showcase Camps - Now available for the serious soccer player at select No.1 Soccer Camp sites throughout the country. The directors of our College ID Showcase Camps are all currently active college coaches. CAMP FACILITIES: Our 200 acre property contains forest land, a swimming pond, activity fields and hiking trails. We have 14 cabins, a dining hall, meetinghouse and a large community garden attached to our farm lands and orchard.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summer Camp - Ages 8-14: Campers come for 1 week or two week session (and some for 3, 4, or 5 weeks!) and go on wilderness trips. Each week there are 3 day, 2 night trips to Tahoe, the Sierra Buttes, and/or the Yuba River.

Teen Leadership Camp - Ages 15-16: These exciting programs takes the Summer Camp experience to a whole new level for 15 and 16 year olds: We offer a two-week hiking program, a one-week farming and cooking program, and a two-week bike repair and bike touring program.

Hiking Program (Two weeks): TLCers will spend two days bonding, learning about their trip, and preparing for hiking. They and their trip leaders will then embark on a 10-day backpacking trip along the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). They will then return to camp, and will have two days of closure at the end.

Farming & Cooking Program (One week): TLCers will spend their week working in Woolman's organic garden, learning about farming, plants and the farm to table journeys of the food we eat. They will learn nutrition and cooking skills as they prepare many of their meals with the fruits and vegetables harvested.

Based in North Berkeley since 1999, our camps provide a rewarding, enriching, memorable summer experience for creative and creatively-curious children in grades 2 - 12. No experience is needed, though even young actors with well-honed skills enjoy spending their summers at our camp, often explaining ''it's the summer of a life-time.''

We offer four popular summer programs: KIDS ON STAGE, ON BROADWAY, TEENS ON STAGE and BACKSTAGE for children entering 2nd grade - just graduating 12th. BACKSTAGE is an exciting counselor-in-training program for teenagers. Stage Door Conservatory nurtures the social, emotional and intellectual development of children using by the performing arts as a vehicle of learning. OUR GOALS

We will create experiences that nurture and support the creative lives of young persons, using musical theater as a vehicle for learning.

Our programs will serve youth in grades 2 through 12.

Our programs will offer youth a rich conservatory experience, providing them with opportunities to develop their skills as singers, actors and dancers, learn the art of stage-craft and perform publically as an ensemble in high caliber productions.

We will offer our programs to actors with all levels of prior experience and skill, providing opportunities for each participant to express themselves creatively and participate meaningfully in our productions.

We will encourage our young actors to regard and support one another as equal members of a collaborative ensemble, where each person's contributions are valued equally.

We will encourage our audiences to become members of a special circle of support and celebrate our young performers, not only participate as bystanders.

We will encourage our participants to reflect on their own lives, as well as the cultural, social, moral and spiritual themes represented in our productions, both to help them develop their understanding of theater and the contexts in which it was been created. We will help young performers to develop their capacities for empathy and respect for others, as they explore the human themes depicted in our plays.

CAMP LIFE Many children regard Stage Door Conservatory a home away from home because we focus on creating a sense of community for everyone who join us. During our first week together, as in all subsequently weeks, we will focus on developing a strong sense of esprit d-corps among our campers ... encouraging the creation of new bonds between the children who are becoming newly acquainted as members of our ensemble, as well as the renewal of old bond among children who have spent prior summers together as members of our camp. Both ON BROADWAY and TEENS ON STAGE include many alumni who participate in our program year after year. If your child is joining us for the first time, please let them know that are not alone and that they will be welcomed and cared for ... within a day he or she will feel as much a part of ON BROADWAY and TEENS ON STAGE as everyone else!

AN ENSEMBLE and CONSERVATORY PHILOSOPHY

Both ON BROADWAY and TEENS ON STAGE are ensemble-based programs. During our first weeks together, we will encourage our young actors to collaborate in the creative process together and to appreciate and support one another as persons and performers. We will emphasize the unique importance of each child who is a part of our production, whether they are performing in a lead role or as a member of our ensemble. CAMP FACILITIES: Beautiful and recently renovated Black Box Theater. It has a stage and comfortable back stage. All of our props and backgrounds are designed and created by hand. Elevated seating that can fit up to 90 people. There is a ticket booth and a functioning restroom. Different types of lighting: black light, fluorescent, stage lighting, rope lighting, and a disco ball. A working sound board, music, and up-to-date stereo system. We utilize different media options as well.
A few buildings away is our main office, where rehearsals may sometimes be held. It has 3 spacious rehearsal rooms, each with a baby grand piano.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: A sleeping princess, a spellbound Prince and more fairies than you can shake a stick at are all part of this quirky adaptation of the popular tale. The evil Trollarina exacts her revenge on the royal family by sending the beautiful Princess Melisande into an everlasting sleep, but little does she realize more than one spell is about to be broken by the kiss of an enchanted Faun.

We do not skip out on costumes! Every participant will be outfitted in a role and age appropriate costumes for the performance. The actors and actress will also interact with carefully designed and created props.

Students will be learning stage position, projection of their voice, blocking, how to interpret a scrip, read music, sing in a group, and dancing. Since the plays we do are musicals, the actors and actresses will learn the basics of singing. It includes, reading music, matching pitch, group and possibly solo singing, tempo, and rhythms. Our choreographer will teach dance positions, dance moves, rhythm, counting, and tempo. Every lesson is created with the children's skill level and abilities in mind and we always encourage them and help them strive for their best.

OTHER CAMP INFO: To enroll your child, go to the Registration page, fill out the information, and make your deposit. The non-refunable deposit is 25% of the program's tuition, with the remainder due by June 1st, 2013. Deposits must be made through Google Wallet at the time of registration.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
The camp is a four week program running Monday through Friday, 9AM to Noon, beginning June 17th and going through July 12th. The camp location is at the Studio C Theater in Livermore, at 51-C Wright Brothers Avenue. The performances will be on Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14.

The regular tuition for the 4 week program is $450. Enrollments before June 1, 2013 will receive a 10% discount, reducing the tuition to $405.00, with a 25% deposit of $101.25 due at the time of registration. The balance of the tuition is due by June 1st, 2013. Enrollments after June 1st must pay the full tuition at the time of enrollment.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Ranch at Live Oak Malibu is set on a historic working ranch with a place in Southern California history. Our retreat spans acres of native grounds, offering hiking trails, picturesque mountain and canyon views. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Food, fitness activities, classes, and private accommodations are included with the price of one week's stay. Food served here is all vegetarian and organic, with a good portion of the produce coming from our own sustainable farm. We allow groups to reserve the entire week and bring their friends. In this instance, we can tailor a program to handle the groups fitness level. This can include corporate executives, YPO Forums, Seniors, mother/daughter groups, friends, colleagues, college groups, large families, etc. In addition to all the usual amenities of our weeklong program, R4.0 guests also have access to the California Health and Longevity Institute and its many treatments and the Four Seasons Spa (at additional cost).

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Both the original weeklong program and R4.0 are year round.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 12 cabins with bunkbeds that hold form 10-22 campers. The beautiful Santa Ana River runs along side the camp, where the kids go fishing. We have an amazing Rec Hall with a cozy fireplace and full game room. We go to Jenks lake, 1 mile away to go canoeing. We have a beautiful large pool for swimming and so much more...
