CAMP FACILITIES: Our camps are indoors and utilizes the space in order to rotate games and activities for the younger group and the older kids group. 40 minutes on and 15 minutes rest is the typical rotation time but down time and up time is adjusted based on activity levels of the participants and instructors.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our sports camps (holiday, spring, summer & fall) are held at different valley locations. Get ready for some FUN! We will be learning & playing the following sports: soccer, softball, basketball, football, volleyball, dodge ball, volleyball, tennis, kickball and many more playground games!

We will be doing some arts & crafts, bouncing in our bounce house, watching movies and doing scavenger hunts, scrimmaging and more!

Approximately 5 – 6 hours of active sports each day in our clean, safe & air-conditioned 4000 sq ft PartyZone facility!

All sports equipment will be supplied. Yes, your child will be grouped with children their same age for safety reasons and also for the best learning experience.

Yes, your children will be running, jumping, playing, sweating and laughing all day and they WILL be tired at pick-up time! At B.E.S.T. your child is not just a number in hoards of children. Each is a special individual, we learn their names, their likes and dislikes, what they excel at and teach them accordingly. If, for any reason, you have any specific questions, we are always here to talk to you. We want to make your child’s summer experience the BEST one ever!

Full Day Camp starts precisely at 8:45am and ends at 5:15pm

FOOD & SNACKS

Snacks: B.E.S.T. will serve fresh fruit for morning and/or afternoon snacks daily. This has been cleared as a nut free snack by all who have been concerned. We encourage you to pack one snack for half day campers and 2 snacks for full day campers if your children do not like this. Lunch: We will be eating lunch every day at 12:00pm-1:00pm. Please supply your child with a sack lunch daily with their name on the sack along with an ice pack inside if required and certainly if they are picky

A.M. HALF DAY KIDS: DO NOT NEED TO bring a LUNCH! ALL AM Kids and FULL DAY kids get fed.

Friday Lunch: Do not pack a sack lunch on Fridays! It is a special FREE PIZZA FRIDAY! FREE for all our full-day campers! Please DO supply a sack lunch if your child does not eat pizza. They will each receive 2 full slices of pizza so if they require a lot more nourishment please pack some additional food. Should half day campers want to join us they will be charged an additional $5 for this additional hour. Drinks: Water is the only beverage we supply each day. Your child’s water bottle will be replenished with bottled water throughout the day (and is always available through our water fountain) so they always remain hydrated.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We welcome C.I.T.'s (Counselors in Training) 14-15 year olds to join us in Camp to facilitate our Senior instructors. This is an unpaid position but one to learn how to facilitate, lead and care for children in this sports camp setting.

Celebrating our 44th year of running camp, we continue to be leader in youth soccer programs. CAMP FACILITIES: Located underneathe the main stage at the Golden Bough, SoDA rehearses and performs in the Circle Theatre as well as on stage of the Golden Bough. Brain Chase is a 6-week summer learning challenge disguised as a massive global treasure hunt for 2nd−8th graders. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Young Dancer Camp is designed for the young dance student, ages 8 to 10, who are currently enrolled in Ballet Level 1, 2 or 3 and are taking a minimum of two to three ballet classes a week. It is a comprehensive program that enhances the dancer’s classical ballet training and introduces the dancer to character, historical dance, jazz, etiquette and proper stretching. CAMP FACILITIES: PlayMakers Summer Camp will work both inside in traditional classrooms and the multi-purpose room, as well as, outside on the playground throughout the two weeks of camp. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The seed of Sessions Songwriting and Music sprung to life in 2007 when its founder, Lauren Bruns, was discussing with a good friend and mother of two that there was a gaping hole in many of the musical programs offered in Los Angeles. Not one school was offering a songwriting component in which kids could express themselves through words and music simultaneously.

CILTs and JCs set and work towards goals with their mentor during their 1-week session, which often include hands-on practice with:

- Learning to work with kids in a camp setting, such as redirecting behavior, engaging them in conversation and encouraging participation

CAMP FACILITIES: This is a day and residential camp for interested students.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Levels: There will be four levels at the camp: Programming, USACO Bronze, USACO Silver, and USACO Gold. During the camp, adjustments can be made to the level (depending on space availability) if faculty and student agree that a different level would be more beneficial to the student. Maximum capacity for each class is 16. Our small class size lets us have different learner groups in the same class (ex. beginner, inter, advanced). Each group may different topics and problems based on their level.

We would like to maximize student potential so that we don't limit student learning with lecturing-to-all style teaching. In this way, students can proceed on their own paces. Curriculum: The students will be equipped with necessary background in lectures and trained with different types of problems to master various problem solving techniques.

The classes are problem solving-based and the curriculum is aligned with USA Computing Olympiad (USACO). Lectures are given by A* Faculty and other instructors who have participation and/or training experience in national/internationals Olympiads such as USACO and International Olympiads in Informatics.

CAMP FACILITIES: Beautiful and recently renovated Black Box Theater. It has a stage and comfortable back stage. All of our props and backgrounds are designed and created by hand. Elevated seating that can fit up to 90 people. There is a ticket booth and a functioning restroom. Different types of lighting: black light, fluorescent, stage lighting, rope lighting, and a disco ball. A working sound board, music, and up-to-date stereo system. We utilize different media options as well.

A few buildings away is our main office, where rehearsals may sometimes be held. It has 3 spacious rehearsal rooms, each with a baby grand piano.

We do not skip out on costumes! Every participant will be outfitted in a role and age appropriate costumes for the performance. The actors and actress will also interact with carefully designed and created props.

Students will be learning stage position, projection of their voice, blocking, how to interpret a script, read music, sing in a group, and dancing.

Since the plays we do are musicals, the actors and actresses will learn the basics of singing. It includes, reading music, matching pitch, group and possibly solo singing, tempo, and rhythms. Our choreographer will teach dance positions, dance moves, rhythm, counting, and tempo.

What Can you Expect?
A typical day consists of breakfast, a morning workout, rest, lunch and speeches from the coaches followed by an afternoon workout and a group activity. CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Camp sessions are weekly and run from June 1st - August 28th.

Most courses cost $299 a week, but we also offer 1-on-1 programming mastery courses that cost more!
