CAMP FACILITIES: The Peabody Institute has residence halls located above the Unger lounge and the Peabody Dining Hall. Each fully-furnished room is equipped with a twin XL bed, a dresser, a mirror, a desk and chair, an Ethernet internet jack, a bulletin board. The halls also have a common kitchen, lounge appliances such as a microwave, a common television, and 24-hour-a-day laundry facilities. The residence halls are located steps away from the Dining Hall, classrooms, studios, Arthur Friedheim Library, practice rooms and concert halls.

CAMP FACILITIES: On a campus of three schools; St. Paul's School, St. Paul's Plus Preschool and St. Paul's School for Girls, SPSG Summer is set in a beautiful academic building with various classrooms, large commons areas and a gymnasium with multiple volleyball/basketball courts. CAMP FACILITIES: Slayton House Theatre Camp of the Arts utilizes the Slayton House Theatre to give campers the chance to practice their drama skills on a full sized stage!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Slayton House Theatre Camp of the Arts receives its operational permit from the Maryland Department of Health. This means that we follow all COMAR regulations to keep our campers safe!

All of our staff has completed a state, federal, and Child Protective Services background checks which are processed before the start of camp. Our counselors are also trained in the field of theatre and provide instruction in their strongest theatre discipline.

Our goal with each camp program is to provide access to theatre arts and creates an environment where campers can take risks while building meaningful relationships.

We are a permitted camp through The Maryland Department of Health, meaning we must be in state compliance before opening each year.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 4 cabin groups, or "hills," with 4-8 rustic cabins per hill, as well as 3 air-conditioned, dormitory-style buildings. All areas have access to multiple volleyball courts, basketball nets, our outdoor pool, and gaga pit. A modern dining hall and health center, along with rustic trading post, fellowship hall, and outdoor chapel are all located along the Chester River.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Pecometh is proudly accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Established in 1946, we have been providing campers with life-changing, God-inspired experiences for over 70 years. Summer Camp sessions are typically five days in length, beginning on Sunday afternoon and ending after lunch on Fridays. Depending on the program, campers stay in rustic cabins or dorm-style facilities, and are supervised by our trained staff 24 hours a day.

All of our counselors are at least 18 years of age or graduated from high school and have received professional training, including First-Aid & CPR/AED certifications and bullying awareness and prevention training. Our Lifeguards are certified through the American Red Cross. There is a nurse on site at all times and the closest major hospital is less than 15 miles away. Our dining hall serves up tasty, nutritious meals and campers can have all they want, including fruit and salad bar at lunch and dinner.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Pecometh offers a Staff-in-Training leadership program for participants who are completing 10th or 11th grade. This is an intensive 2-week program that includes hands-on leadership training and experience, and earns participants nearly 60 volunteer hours! CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Active Learning Services, Ltd operates enrichment programs designed to stimulate creative thinking, improve thinking, logic and memory skills and give children "thinking alternatives" to sports camps and other summer programs. Our programs include chess programs and camps thru USA Chess, Our Gamebuilder Video Game Creation Programs and our Active Learning Computer Enrichment Programs.

Our staff is, comprised of the best children's chess instructors in North America! The USA Chess camps are uniquely qualified to cater to the needs of the advanced scholastic player as well as the true beginner. USA Chess hit its first milestone in the summer of 2000 producing the largest chess camp ever held in the United States, with more than 250 students enrolled. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Teen Treks has been a leader in bike touring summer programs for 18 years. At Teen Treks we offer fun and not competitive biking experiences. Our Moderate rated trips are geared towards first time bicyclists, appropriate for most 14-18 year olds in average or better physical health. Our Easy treks are extremely easy in terms of daily mileage and terrain and will attract slower riders. For our Challenging treks you need to be in good shape and enjoy bicycling. We have had many first time riders do challenging treks and this is for those eager for a challenge.

Any teenager can enjoy one of our summer bike trips. We love a good challenge and we encourage teens to be ambitious, but we keep things fun, too – there’s always time to stop for ice cream, enjoy the scenery, or check out an awesome local restaurant or historical site.

CAMP FACILITIES: There is a large room for the activities of each language group. We have kitchen facilities where your child's lunch can be stored and an outdoor field for children to go out to play when the weather permits. We also have WIFI and a projector and large screen at our disposal.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Children become part of a theatre troupe, and are immersed in ESL (English as a Second Language), French, Chinese or Spanish. There is a performance at the end of each two-week session. Daily activities include: sports, theatre and music games, crafts and practice for a performance.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CIT is for young teens who already can speak fluently or who are almost fluent in the target language. They pay as campers and will be helped to refine their language skills and to learn how to work with younger students. They will be assigned specific tasks each day and discuss the day with the counselors daily. At the end of camp, each one who participated successfully will be able to receive a recommendation from the director in the case that they apply to work at another camp. They also may become eligible eventually to be paid assistants in our camp when they are old enough (currently 18).

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Early enrollment receives a 20% discount (February) and a 10% March 1 - 15. No registration fee until March 15th. All campers pay a materials fee of $10.00 a week.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): The children will learn their target language, theatre and music through games and exercises daily, and through these experiences, build a show to share with their parents. All activities - music, theatre, crafts, sports, recess, and games - will be used by the staff to lead to an enrichment in the target language. The program attracts both those who are fluent (who concentrate mostly on the arts aspect and the fun and who can become leaders, helping their peers to speak better) and those who are beginners and of various levels of language speaking.

We are looking for native Chinese, Spanish and French speakers to be counselors or assistant counselors. Must have some skills in sports, theatre or arts and/or extensive experience with children or education. We do train all counselors. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 2001, Steve has been named one of Golf Magazine’s Top 100 golf instructors in the United States. He is currently the only TOP 100 in the Washington, DC metro area and was named the Middle Atlantic PGA Teacher of the Year for the second time, only the second person in history with this accomplishment.

Steve’s Academy is based in the heart of the nation’s capital. He is serving as an adjunct professor for the national PGA Education Committee, teaching the future teachers of the game how to teach. His list of clients includes many of the movers and shakers in the nation’s capital, including some of the best players on the professional golf tours, members of the entertainment industry, and CEOs and presidents of major corporations.

But one of Steve’s real passions is for instructing junior golfers maybe because he knows junior golf first-hand, with four of his own children playing and competing. He has walked countless practice and tournament rounds, both as a parent with his children, as a coach with his team for a private school, as well as a teacher with his many junior students. He has guided hundreds of juniors from the entire MidAtlantic region to college scholarships, again, starting with his own family.

Steve has been involved with junior competitive golf starting with US Kids, AJGA, state events, to college championships and many more in-between. Steve knows the “ins and outs” of junior golf planning and college recruiting, again speaking first hand from personal experience.

Two of his sons played at the University of Maryland and his youngest daughter is finishing up playing for the Towson Tigers. His youngest son, Sean, won the Maryland Amateur, two Maryland Opens, and was the first alternate on site at the 2016 US Open at Oakmont. Most recently, Sean earned his PGA/Latin America Tour card for 2017.

As a player, Steve understands what it’s like to stand on the first tee and be so nervous that it’s hard to breathe. He has played in three PGA Tour events, one Kemper Open and two Anheuser-Busch Classics. He owns one course record of 10 under par 62, which has stood for over 35 years. His personal experience in those extremely stressful conditions has helped him know how to teach his students to deal and be successful in the same competitive situations - tournament golf.

Steve has learned and observed from many of the world’s finest teachers including Jim Flick, Paul Runyan, Dave Pelz, Hank Haney, Martin Hall, Mac O’Grady, Jimmy Ballard, Ben Doyle, Dr. Bob Rotella and Bill Strasbaugh, to name a few. His thirst for knowledge has led him on a quest to learn as much about the golf swing and all that is involved in achieving ones potential and goals. He has learned and communicate the breakdown of the golf swing into simple, easy-to-understand concepts for his students. Members are involved in diverse range of boating activities, supported by social events and strong camaraderie. FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Learn to Sail as a Family!
Kids don't need to be the only ones having all the fun! This summer we are offering sessions to take lessons with your child and/or with other parents while your children are in another class. This option is offered to parents/grandparents/aunts/uncles with children age 8 and up. The program will be a Learn-to-Sail curriculum that teaches student the basics of boat handling, seamanship, safety, and teamwork. The curriculum will develop competence and confidence in our sailors in a safe and fun learning environment. The courses will mainly use our J22 keelboat fleet with options to try other boats (ability & size appropriate), and fleet of kayaks and paddleboards.

Children must be 8 yrs old and of course no age limit for 'Big Kids'. NOTE: 'Big Kids' need to register as well as child.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis with limited class sizes.

EYC members can continue to practice boating skills and fun with affordable and convenient way to get out on the water using our fleet of paddleboards, sailing dinghies, and keelboats through our Member Watercraft Access Program (WAP).

CAMP FACILITIES: Our One-Week Campers sleep in rustic cabins and located nearby are clean, modern and newly renovated bathrooms with shower facilities and electricity. Lodges for Two-Week Campers are modern yet rustic-looking, 4300 square foot, two-story buildings that each house at least 48 campers and staff. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This week-long summer camp focuses on the three main components of musical theatre. Singing, dancing and acting! Your student will have a blast as they sing and dance to styles ranging from classic musical theatre ballads to funky hip-hop. CAMP FACILITIES: All events and activities take place on the beautiful Mount St. Mary's University campus, which includes three performance halls. Students reside in single, air-conditioned rooms in a newly-built residence hall and enjoy meals prepared in the campus dining hall.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The International Music Institute and Festival USA offers a stimulating and nurturing environment where each aspect of the individual experience is given careful thought and attention. Our dynamic summer music festival is for violin, viola, cello, and piano. The short but intense 10-day program is filled with private lessons, chamber music, and interdisciplinary seminars and workshops, culminating with solo and chamber ensemble performances. Enrollment is limited, facilitating an intense musical experience as well as lasting friendships.

World-class faculty include such renowned musicians as Jonathan Carney (concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra), Brian Ganz (faculty at Peabody Conservatory, winner of Silver Medal at Queen Elizabeth Competition), Chin Kim (faculty at Mannes School of Music, winner of Silver Medal at Queen Elizabeth Competition), Blanka Bednarz (faculty at Dickinson College), Cecylia Barczyk (faculty at Towson University), and many others dedicated to assisting the next generation of musicians achieve their musical and personal goals. Students will have opportunities to work with each of these faculty members, whether it be in private lessons, chamber music coachings, or master classes. They will eat in the same dining hall, be available for answering questions, and perform recitals at IMIF. IMIF is exceptionally international: each year we welcome young musicians from around the world. Recent participants have joined us from Iceland, Estonia, Norway, Germany, Russia, Israel, Mexico, Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Argentina, and Canada (as well as across the USA).

In addition to our core curriculum of solo and chamber music, we include interdisciplinary arts experiences in which participants experience a holistic approach to music education. They learn how to take care of their bodies and prevent performance injuries, feel more confident and become more expressive on stage, and practice more effectively. Workshop topics include: Performance Psychology, Introduction to Dance and Movement, Ensemble and Collaborative Skills (theatre workshop), Improvisation, Careers in Music, Stage Presence, and Effective Practicing.

Applicants are also encouraged to seek out sponsors in their communities, e.g. schools, arts or civic organizations, private donors, and local businesses. OTHER CAMP INFO: One of the really unique aspects of this summer music course is the five-day concert tour that follows the institute. Selected participants who apply for this tour are given the opportunity to perform concerts in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. Starting in the early 90s, Pop Punk became a popular genre that dominated the radio. Bands like Green Day, Paramore, Blink 182, No Doubt, Offspring, and many more who will be featured in this camp. Students will spend Monday through Friday learning and practicing songs, all culminating in a live performance at the end of the week. Great for students 7 - 18 years of age who have had some previous instruction.

July 17th - July 21st, 2023: SONGWRITING CAMP

Through this special 5-day songwriting camp, students will learn how to write their own songs. Students will analyze some of the greatest compositions of the last 60 years in order to develop their own tunes. They will learn about chord progressions, arrangements, and other tricks of the trade. We’ll spend Monday through Friday learning and writing songs, all culminating in a live performance. Great for students 13-18 years of age who have had previous instruction.

July 24th - July 28th, 2023: 21ST CENTURY ROCK CAMP

In this 5-day summer camp, students will learn and perform songs from some of the most popular artists of the 21st century, including Foo Fighters, Amy Winehouse, Imagine Dragons, Paramore, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more. Monday through Friday will be spent learning and rehearsing songs culminating in a live performance at the end of the week. CAMP FACILITIES: In both NYC and LA, campuses are accessible only with a valid AMDA photo identification card, which High School Summer Conservatory students receive.

Supervision is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. When students are not in class with our world-class faculty, they are supervised by members of our trained AMDA staff.

Students leave campus only for planned and chaperoned outings, which may include going to a Broadway show or visiting NYC and LA tourist destinations.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a beautiful space that includes a state of the art yoga studio and a workshop/classroom that allows for lots of hands-on learning.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: At Camp IO, children ages 5-12 have fun with hands-on science activities and making cool things. They take a look at how everyday objects work and the world around them. Each day, campers switch their outer science tools for a yoga mat and learn about the inner science of yoga. They learn about fun and easy ways to stay healthy and harmonize their bodies, minds and energy to decrease stress, increase endurance and improve focus.

Our mission is to offer children a safe, fun, encouraging and enriching environment to learn and practice the outer science of engineering and the inner science of yoga. All of our activities combine inquiry-based learning with the STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts Mathematics) initiative in mind.

“Hands-on” means that your child can engage the five senses when learning. Research shows that more information is retained when learning is active and participant-based. Camp IO is an exciting and engaging way for children to learn, be enriched and interact in a mindful way with the world around them.

Camp IO was created by Antoinette Murray (Murray Educational Services), Joseph Murray and Valencia Wood (SoilSound). Together, they provide an exceptional hands-on science and yoga experience. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Montgomery Soccer Academy is one of the longest running and most popular soccer day camps in the area. Since 1990 the camp goal has been to help children learn and love soccer by emphasizing skill work ans small sided games. Skills Camp for boys and girls ages 4 and up include a variety of games, contests and activities to keep the children interested, practicing and learning.

Last year almost 200 middle and high school age girls attended our sessions. These are designed to be both challenging enough and individualized enough to help girls at all levels reach their potential. The camp is directed by Jim Bruno, Girls Varsity Coach at Good Counsel, with nationally ranked teams 14 of last 19 year. Staff includes other highly successful high school and select coaches as well as other area training professionals. College and high school players complete the staff. In past camps we have had coaches and scouts from Arsenal FC – England, Southampton FC – England, Benfica FC – Portugal, Real Juventude (Real Madrid´s sister program) – Spain, Fulham FC – England, PSV Eindhoven – Netherlands and Jamaica National Team staff among others in attendance.

Technical Director and owner, William Moravek explains "We are extremely lucky to have such fine individuals from which our students can gain so much valuable information. It is also a fantastic opportunity for the area´s top youth players to be exposed to what has been so successful in Europe in regards to football youth development.

In 2010 we also had two academy players from Queens Park Rangers FC, and trialists from Chelsea, Reading and Fulham FC of England in attendance. This was a fantastic experience for all the players and certainly raised the standard of training through the week. In 2011 we had two of our students sign academy contracts with Fulham FC and another two students who were able to go train with that same club. It is important for us to share ideas and also grasp concepts and ideas from countries that have accomplished so much in the game over the years.

This is why we always have such a diverse and high level of professional coach and player at these camps. In addition we regularly get some of the best players from the area in attendance from clubs like Bethesda SC, Baltimore Bays, Mclean Premier Soccer, Potomac Soccer, Loudoun Soccer, Arlington Soccer, Soca Elite and Ashburn Soccer to name a few with players coming from as far as England, Germany, Florida, Kentucky and Guam in the past."

President & Technical Director

Recognized as a pioneer in youth and professional soccer in the Concacaf Region, Bill Moravek established his soccer school to motivate the young players of Loudoun County and to share his passion and love for the game. Moravek is currently an official Scout for 2010 Europa League Finalists, Fulham FC, of England's Premier League. He was an official scout for English professional side, Southampton FC and was a coach for them from 2001-2003. Southampton FC were longstanding participants in The Premier League which is considered to be one of the most exciting and finest professional soccer leagues in the world.

In 2003, Moravek was an assistant coach with Jamaica's National Team which saw him in action against the USA, Nigeria, Paraguay, Cuba and Brazil. In 2000-2001, Moravek was the head national team coach for the British Virgin Islands and Seba United FC in Jamaica’s premier division of their pro league. He is the first and youngest American coach to lead a foreign national and professional team outside of the USA. In addition, he has coached with the Maryland Mania of the professional “A” League and college sides, NCAA Division 1, Longwood University, Howard University and NCAA Division 2 Shepherd University.

Moravek still holds all scoring records for Loudoun County High school that date back to 1986 and 1987. He was also a scholarship athlete for Clemson University's 1987 National Championship and 1988 World Collegiate winning teams. In addition, he was a member of Clemson's Gator Bowl winning football team of 1989-1990. In 2003, The Loudoun Times Mirror Newspaper named Moravek as one of the All-Time Best Athletes to come out of Loudoun County, Virginia.

Moravek has earned the USSF “A” License, AYSO certificate and is a qualifier for the prestigous UEFA "A" License
