CAMP FACILITIES: The sanctuary encompasses 245 acres of forest, field, and wetland habitats, each offering exciting opportunities for nature exploration. The 2 miles of trails on the sanctuary include a scenic boardwalk across a pond and marsh, and a trail for the visually impaired. Indoors, the visitor center contains displays on various natural history topics, program space, and a gift shop with nature-oriented items.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Stony Brook Day Camp gives children the chance to do what comes naturally—explore! Weekly sessions have campers ages 3–15 discovering our wildlife sanctuary’s forest, fields, and wetlands. Trail explorations, hands–on activities, games, crafts, and more provide full ecosystem immersion for an enhanced learning experience, while small group sizes ensure a welcoming, supportive environment.

Our goal is to provide an engaging and educational experience in a safe, supportive setting where campers learn to grow both as individuals and as part of a team and to understand, enjoy and appreciate the nature of Massachusetts

Campers at Stony Brook have the opportunity to investigate four varied habitats - pond, wetland, field, and forest as they form friendships that last a lifetime. Through a combination of outdoor investigations, non-competitive games, crafts and other activities, campers use the sanctuary as a living laboratory where they can observe and enjoy numerous plants and animals. They become young naturalists as they begin to identify wildlife species; junior scientists while critically thinking about environmental problems and solutions; and amateur ecologists predicting where they might find salamanders on a hot day.

Campers can attend multiple weeks without repetition and are encouraged to do so. Each session has a theme, and each week features different age-appropriate activities ensuring that each session is a unique experience. Children who return year after year achieve new levels of confidence and natural history proficiency.

Our staff’s enthusiasm for the natural world is contagious and quickly spreads to the campers. Marla Cohen has been camp director since 2002. A majority of the counselors are undergraduate students majoring in education or environmental science and are selected for their maturity and experience working with children in outdoor settings. This combination of youth and experience generates a highly motivated and vibrant atmosphere.

All camp staff are trained in First Aid and CPR. Prior to the beginning of camp, all staff participate in a week-long training session that includes program preparation and health and safety guidelines.

As an ACA-accredited camp, Stony Brook Camp meets both the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and American Camp Association standards for its program, staffing, counselor/camper ratios, health and safety policies, site and facilities, and administration.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The CIT program provides an opportunity for teens and young adults to experience camp and receive leadership guidance and training, while acting as volunteer assistants to day camp counselors. This program is for youth ages 15-17 who are interested in learning about leadership and working with children. Teenagers are invited to experience the fun, stress, and rewards of camp as they assist Stony Brook Camp Counselors. CITs are expected to participate in the overall planning and implementation of weekly activities such as crafts, nature projects, camp songs and games. Our CIT’s Learn valuable job training and leadership skills as they work side by side with Counselors. The responsibilities given to CITs will help sculpt them into responsible adults and future stewards of our community.

CIT’s are looked up to and admired by campers. It is expected that our CIT’s will be enthusiastic about everything that they participate in and lead. CIT’s must set the example for the rest of camp—campers watch what CIT’s do. It is expected that a CIT will lead by example! CIT’s will not have sole responsibility for campers. The CIT’s will have the opportunity to help lead campers, but they will be supervised by staff at all times.

CAMP FACILITIES: Lodging accommodations at Camp Timber Trails include rustic summer cabins sleeping 4-8; three private cabins with 1-2 bedrooms, bath, and kitchens; the Lodge sleeps 6 and has a meeting space for 60 and small commercial kitchen; the Welcome Center sleeps 2-6 and has meeting space for 25 and a kitchen. West Wind Dining Hall and kitchen can accommodate up to 500. The Barefoot Ballroom is uniquely fitted with a sprung wooden dance floor.

An outdoor amphitheater overlooking the pond has bench style seating for 200. The waterfront on 16-acre Ward's Pond includes swimming beach and docks for canoes, kayaks and row boats. The large activity field has plenty of space for softball, soccer, concerts, festivals and outdoor events.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Timber Trails is available for groups to rent for a single day, a week or a month. Our facilities allow groups the flexibility of creating their own unique camping program. Camp facilities are available from May through October for overnight groups with as few as 10 to as many as 250 participants. Non-residential day programs can accommodate groups larger than 250. Scheduling programs from November through April is also possible, however groups size is limited to 20 for overnight programs and 50 for day use.

During their 1-3 week experience, students will go on a backpacking and/or canoeing trip focused on learning about ecosystems and themselves. CAMP FACILITIES: The main building at Belvoir is a historical mansion built in 1886, one of the Lenox great estates landscaped by Olmstead who created central park in New York City. There are now eighteen buildings on the site including four modern dorms subdivded into bunk rooms, four dancing studios, fifteen art studios, twenty two music studios, five theaters, two pools, six tennis courts, lawns, wooded paths, gardens, and all with a view of the Berkshire hills.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Belvoir is an individualized six week educational summer program with excellent teaching in all program areas. The fifteen MFA art teachers offer small classes in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, fibers, black and white and digital photography and jewelry. Girls can elect one or many studio classes. The dance faculty teach graded classes of ballet, pointe, modern, jazz and tap. Belvoir has an appropriately challenging and fun dance class for every girl and all dancers enjoy performance opportunities. The large graduate music faculty offer twice weekly music lessons in all instruments and voice. There are opportunities for recitals, chamber music, opera, and orchestra.

Belvoir has a large theater program. Classes are offered in acting, musical theater and Shakespeare, with many large, quality performances in 4 theaters (2 indoor air-conditioned theaters). The department also offers writing, costuming and all aspects of technical theater. Campers enjoy high level sports instruction in tennis, swimming and riding. Archery, volleyball and basketball are also offered at Belvoir. CAMP FACILITIES: Our building has an indoor space for sports, a kitchen for our cooking activities and 4 classrooms for different age groups. Outside we have a basketball hoop, 4 square and hopscotch alongside the beautiful Forest Park. We drive the children to a Woburn public pool for swimming and go to a local baseball field for our annual ASC Kickball game.

At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.

Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. Additionally, it develops a level of trust between parent, coach, and child that ultimately leads to a fun and skill-focused camp for youth.

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers enjoy the JCC's air-conditioned, professional theater, art and dance studios, science classrooms, an indoor pool for lessons, and a zero-entry outdoor pool for free swim. Additionally, campers enjoy a dedicated gaga pit, outdoor ping pong and foosball tables, tennis courts, fields, woods, trails, and access to the Charles River. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Kaleidoscope is dedicated to making camp a fun, nurturing, educational experience for each camper. Staff include well-trained bunk counselors ages 18 and up who work with groups of campers daily, and professional teachers who lead classes. Programming is organized into two four-week sessions, with flexible registration options. Registration minimum is two weeks.

All campers swim daily, with lessons offered twice weekly with our professional aquatics staff, utilizing the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy methods. Each session culminates in "Arts Night," including art and science exhibits, musical performances from lower and middle camp groups, and a fully realized musical from upper campers.

Lower campers entering grades K & 1 enjoy a balanced day of arts, science, and sports activities with caring, inclusive counselors and specialists. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CITs in grades 9-11 are an integral part of camp, providing leadership and receiving training while also pursuing their own interests. Counselors
Seeking mature, reliable, patient people who understand what it takes to make a camper's day a wonderful experience. JCC Kaleidoscope Creative Arts & Science Camp is a pluralistic camp welcoming the entire community. While camp is not easily accessible by public transportation, bus counselor positions are available from Framingham and Brookline. Counselors must be 18 years of age or older or high school graduates with demonstrated leadership skills and experience working with children. All counselors must be available for the full eight-week season.

Lower and Middle Camp Counselors work in pairs or groups of three and are responsible for a group of 10-15 campers entering grades K-3. They support and nurture campers throughout the day as campers attend activities in the arts, science, sports and swimming. Middle camp counselors may also assist in other areas throughout camp.

Upper Camp Counselors work with campers entering grades 4-8. They teach or assist in classes, activities and theatrical productions. The Windhover Center for the Performing Arts partners with Dušan Týnek Dance Theatre in July to offer a week-long intensive dance workshop. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Collegiate Soccer Academy (CSA) is designed for high school students who are interested in playing soccer at the collegiate level. CSA is uniquely designed to provide a fuller experience than the vast majority of summer soccer programs by providing both on and off the field training. Off the field training sessions include: SAT prep, Sports Yoga, ACL Prevention, NCAA compliance, Q&A with College Coaches, Q&A with College student-athletes, Speed & Agility, and Strength Training. Aside from competitive soccer training and playing opportunities, CSA offers off the field training sessions including SAT prep, Sports Yoga, ACL Prevention, NCAA compliance, Q&A with College Coaches, Q&A with College student-athletes, Speed & Agility, & Strength Training.

At CSA, your child will be under the tutelage of two collegiate coaches and receive separate evaluations from both. CSA addresses the main reason why teenagers attend summer training camps - to improve their chances of admittance into collegiate soccer programs.

Our staff is comprised exclusively of active college coaches. The 2016 staff includes representation of over 35 colleges/universities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Kreative Kidz camps are fun, high-energy programs that allow young people to fully engage their imaginations as they experience the thrill of creating live theatre. From learning the basic techniques of acting for the stage, to developing improvisation and physical comedy skills, to putting it all together in a public performance, it will be a summer your child will never forget. Students participate in a wide variety of theatre activities--including improvisation, scene study, storytelling, creative writing, and group singing--all taught by caring teachers dedicated to meeting each child at his or her level.

Classes emphasize drama games and exercises designed to increase spontaneity, engage the imagination, promote self-confidence, and encourage ensemble spirit. At the end of each week, students share their work in a free performance which is open to the public.

Peter Pan - July 9-13
Wendy Darling mesmerizes her brothers every night with bedtime tales of swordplay, swashbuckling and the fearsome Captain Hook. But the children become the heroes of an even greater story, when Peter Pan flies into their nursery one night and brings them to Neverland. The Lost Boys, Pirates, Tinkerbelle and all the wonderful characters will come to life this week.

Bravo for Broadway - July 16-20
This week we’ll be working on past and current Broadway musicals. With skits, songs and dances from popular shows.

Superheroes and Villains - July 23-27
Calling all superheroes! Students will dress up like their favorite heroes and villains. We’ll create a script together with characters like Batman, Wonder Woman, The Hulk, and Iron Man.

Pop Star Studio - July 30-Aug 3
Spend the week feeling like a pop star! Students will perform solos, duets and group numbers. They will also learn choreography to some of their favorite songs. This camp is a chance for students of all talent levels to have time in the spotlight.

Laugh Out Loud – Aug 6-10
Get ready to laugh the week away, with hilarious and outrageous skits written by the students themselves. It’s sure to be a week full of fun.

Trolls – Aug 13-17
After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy, the happiest Troll ever born, and the very grumpy Branch set off on a journey to rescue her friends.

CAMP FACILITIES: Lawrence Academy is a private boarding high school that offers summer programs. The campus has a swimming pool, 12 tennis courts, 3 indoor basketball courts, 8 athletic fields, a theater, dining hall, and numerous indoor air conditioned spaces. Summer programs are open to ages 3.5-17.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The 100-acre Lawrence Academy campus provides the setting for over 30 day camp offerings for children entering grades K–12 and an overnight English, Mandarin, Spanish, and French immersion program for American and international students. Summer Programs at Lawrence Academy are divided into three types: Day Camp, Specialty Camps, and Sports Camps. We offer nine one-week camp sessions beginning June 22, and ending August 21, 2015 for children entering Kindergarten through grade 12. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: C.I.T. (Counselor In Training Program): The C.I.T. program gives our most mature campers, who are entering the 8th and 9th grades, a feel for what it take to be a counselor, while still having the opportunity to participate in all of the great activities at Maplewood.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Accredited Day Camp in South Easton, MA seeks teachers or individuals with education certification to work with children ages 3-14. You will be responsible for leading groups of children through their daily activities. Applicant will also be responsible for supervising other staff members. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YEA Camp is a unique and inspiring leadership summer camp for youth 12-17 who care about community service, activism and social justice. A week-long sleep-away program in a beautiful camp location, YEA is designed to be a fun and transformative experience that builds life-long friendships between youth with similar interests. Our program also provides a meaningful opportunity for campers to learn more about some of the issues facing our planet and to get inspired and empowered to take action on those issues.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Individualized instruction in ballet technique, conditioning, repertory, and creative independent assignments will be given with the caring attention that is the hallmark of JMBT’s school. Participants will receive a student instructional workbook and other course materials thoughtfully designed to optimize comprehensive ballet training during times of necessary physical distancing.

Students will work closely with members of JMBT’s faculty in limited-size classes offering substantial individual feedback. Every student can expect considerable advancement from expert technical training and the opportunity to learn, rehearse, and produce solo performance videos of new, original choreography.

The Ballet at Home™ Summer Intensive Course© is intended for committed students who understand that current social restrictions do not have to prevent them from making the progress they typically expect from a live intensive summer program.

Students not previously enrolled in JMBT programs or not previously accepted into the 2020 Summer Performance Intensive will be asked to submit an audition video consisting of an adage at the barre, an adage in the centre, and an allegro combination with turns. All exercises should be 32 counts. Videos do not need to be professional quality.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Ivy Seed Academy was founded in August of 2013 and based in Boston Massachusetts, Ivy Seed is an education company that provides STEM programs, summer camps for children around the world and educational tours.

The course is designed to prepare students for the fundamentals of IOS programming language created by Apple. Throughout the Programming & App Development for iPhone & iPad, students will explore fundamental programming concepts and instructional design principles. Students will able to apply design principles and create individual phone app at the end of class.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: "The Premier Soccer Training System" - implements our step by step process of physical technique DEMONSTRATIONS, You then IMITATE these demonstrated skills/techniques in training, we then give you the opportunity to EXECUTE these skills in competition with our continued expert guidance and coaching. "The PSTS" is offered at all our Soccer Camps in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington.

Our camp programming works with each child's IEP, and provides additional focus on strengthening of adaptive daily living skills, social skills, and self-esteem building. Our classrooms are small, with ratios 4/5 students to each certified special education teacher, allowing the behavioral and educational needs of each student to be met with care and compassion.

Camp Sunshine, dba Reed Academy also has a full time LICSW and clinical staff on board to assist in providing support within the therapeutic milieu. In addition, the Executive Director, Academic Director, and Program Coordinator work closely with the students and staff members.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Debate Camp creates a learning experience that is safe, welcoming, fun, and intellectually-engaging. Our program is meant to appeal to all ability levels, from the reluctant speaker to the already-accomplished debater.

We believe that learning is best served by engaging students in an academic experience, while at the same time ensuring they feel empowered to take risks.

We believe that "camp" creates a novel and secure learning environment in which campers feel safe to try new skills, think on their feet, see the opposing view, and to trust their teammates. Campers repeatedly inform us of how successful their academic experiences are - after Debate Camp, largely because they felt emboldened and confident in their ability to engage in discourse on subjects they felt unsure about only weeks previous. " I learned so much" is the most consistent feedback we get.

We feel that debating is not an elite skill for competition purposes only. Nor is it something that should be oversold / overcharged for the purpose of enhancing the college application process. We believe that to have advocacy skills, an ability with rhetoric, an ability to effectively organize one's thoughts, an ability to listen and be heard and to honour one's opponents with effective points and counter-points, are skills that all kids should develop.

As such, we annually review our fee scale to ensure we remain within reach of as many families as possible. We continue to work on funding and recruitment structures so that we may continue to remove barriers to enrichment education.

Moreover, we remain about training in the area of verbal advocacy; to stand, speak and be heard - an area requiring continued attention at a time when digital means provide so many alternatives to this. In the generation of the smart phone, of potentially less human-to-human conversation over substantial matters, what we teach is even more coveted...

This process included a thorough documentation and policy review of Debate Camp's Operation Manual and training materials. In 2021, an ACA site visitor visited in-person camp locations to observe camp operations and ensure the highest of facility standards at two of our American Debate Camp locations (as exemplars of our program in all regions)

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YEA is a unique and inspiring leadership summer camp for youth 12-17 who care about community service, activism and social justice. This week-long sleep-away program is designed to be a fun and transforming experience that builds life-long friendships between youth with similar interests. YEA Camp New York will have two concurrent sessions! One session for teens with a variety of causes, and for the first time ever, a separate session for teens interested in animal activism (and what better location than a Farm Animal Sanctuary!).

Our program also provides a meaningful opportunity for campers to learn more about some of the issues facing our planet and to get inspired and empowered to take action on those issues. Campers choose an issue of importance to them (for example, some have chosen climate change, racism, homophobia, homelessness, animal rights) and at YEA they build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take action on that issue long after camp is over. Youth who have participated in our programs report that the camp was one of the most fun, rewarding and life-changing experiences they have had, and, with YEA's community support, have gone on to start school clubs, plan fundraisers for nonprofits, organize community clean-ups, and attend hearings to comment about important community issues.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Ivy Seed Academy was founded in August of 2013 and based in Boston Massachusetts, Ivy Seed is an education company that provides STEM programs, summer camps for children around the world and educational tours.

The course is designed to prepare students for the fundamentals of IOS programming language created by Apple. Throughout the Programming & App Development for iPhone & iPad, students will explore fundamental programming concepts and instructional design principles. And like it was nearly 60 years ago, Camp W*K is not a “plugged in” camp. Children feel supported and confident to step out of their comfort-zone and try new things without the fear of failure. We strongly encourage families of first-time and veteran campers to join us. The weekend is an excellent opportunity for first-time campers to learn their way around Camp, meet some new friends and get comfortable before they arrive in the summer. Members of the Camp W*K Staff will also be in attendance to lead Planning Session, offer periods and answer questions.

In addition to being completely nut and sesame free, we easily accommodate gluten-free, dairy, wheat, soy, egg, and fish allergies. Vegans or Vegetarians also appreciate our menu options. Our chef uses only fresh ingredients, cooks and bakes from scratch, and ensures there is no cross-contamination of food products. We partner with our families in ensuring that all food sent to Camp is ingredient-checked before being sent to the bunk. This includes food items made with sesame or peanut oil and/or produced in a factory that uses sesame or nuts. The safety and well being of everyone at camp is our priority. CAMP FACILITIES: The wooded, 135-acre Milton, MA campus is one of the most beautiful small college campuses in New England. The Comprehensive, All Skills Camp (COED: Ages 8-18) is programmed for three different proficiency levels: beginners, intermediates and advanced players — of all ages. Each student will be tested weekly and placed in a group of similar ability, and age. Beginners will be playing soccer in just a few days; intermediates will improve all aspects of their game; and advanced players will sharpen their game to a competitive edge.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: SPOTLIGHT aims to engage today's youth in the discovery of theatre's many components. In an exciting, non-competitive, fun filled environment, we strive to enrich appreciation for Theater Arts through education, creativity, and passion. THE SPOTLIGHT THEATER WORKSHOP was designed not only to be a lot of fun, but to also focus on strengthening the skills of our participants and teaching them new and exciting elements involved in the performing arts. Some of our classes will include acting, singing, dancing, technical theater, improv, and auditioning skills. Also, we're very excited about incorporating film/television acting and production into the workshop!

Monologues will also be worked on during class time so that upon completion of the program, participants will be comfortable using their pieces at auditions in the future. There will also be many outdoor activities, free time, and special guests!

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Since 2012, PGC has provided more than $500,000 in financial assistance. Each year, we do our best to assist as many families as possible.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We offer year round computer programming classes and camps during school break.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Does you child love computers, but you want them to socialize? KTByte summer camps and classes are the perfect solution. We offer everything from Computer Fundamentals to Robotics to USACO Prep. If you live too far away, check out our online classes and at your own pace courses.
