CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Widely recognized throughout the midwest as Ohio's premier summer camp since 1959, Falcon Camp offers a beautiful lakefront setting, a talented experienced staff and a wide variety of activities. Falcon provides an atmosphere that encourages young people to grow in spirit, skills, understanding, relationships, and attitudes. Fun for Now, Skills for Life is not just a catchy logo phrase but truly defines what Falcon is about. Camp is designed for boys and girls ages 6 - 16 in 2,4,6 or 8 week sessions. Each day campers choose their own schedule within a general framework.
Daily activities are separate for boys and girls with planned coed events. Riding, sailing, swimming, riflery, crafts, tennis, drama, archery, mountain biking and so many more activities are offered. Instruction from beginner to advanced is offered in each activity. We have a strong reputation for making sure a camper's first overnight experience is very positive. Our non-competitive environment is inviting to campers who may be hesitant to try something they have never done before, while our awards system challenges our most experienced campers. The 1:4 staff/camper ratio allows individual instruction and attention. Most of all it's great fun!
Falcon also has a special Young Adventure program for campers ages 6 -10. These one week intro sessions are designed for first time campers. ACA accredited, many NE Ohio references are available along with campers from all over the United States and the world. Being so close to several major cities allows families to visit beforehand, meet staff and feel "at home" prior to attending. Falcon is an outstanding opportunity for fun and learning. A summer at Falcon is a special experience where good things happen by design.

At the nearby Holden Arboretum, campers are introduced to the woods where they learn about our delicate ecology. Campers take numerous hikes, practice bird and leaf identification, collect rocks for their collections, and search the streams for frogs and crayfish.
Girls in our Chincapin Equestrian program also get to take advantage of our second property that includes a Barn, riding areas, and 13 horses. Riding lessons focuses on English style riding, safety, an appreciation of the sport, good riding form, and horse care.
Campers in our Red Oak Teen Travel Camp use our cabin area as their base camp before they take off on adventures that might include backpacking, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, canoeing, and more.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Red Oak Camp has a rich history as a premier camp for adventure trips and travel programming. We are excited to again offer these exciting opportunities for summer 2014. Throughout all of our trips, campers will have the time of their lives. They’ll participate in a range of activities, including whitewater rafting, climbing, backpacking, caving, canoeing, mountain biking, and more. They will build skills and confidence to help them through high school and college and contribute to their future success!
The Red Oak program is exemplary at serving our mission, of building our campers’ inner strengths though outdoor adventure. Campers will spend two full weeks with us. The first week will be spent at Red Oak “base camp” in Kirtland. Here they’ll develop the outdoor skills, leadership, self-confidence, and perseverance that will help them be successful during the second week of the program. In week two, campers will put those skills to use on adventures in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, or Kentucky–adventures they will remember always. Adventures that will foster life-long friendships.
Red Oak maintains a unique outdoor educational philosophy in which campers get to design their own experience. The camper day is divided between Campers Choice and Open Activities, with some special programs thrown in throughout the week.
Campers Choice is where are staff are able to provide progressive experiential education. Campers sign up for the areas that most excite them and participate in them throughout the week. Camper’s Choice activities include high adventure, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, wood shop, sports, outdoor survival and fire building, target sports, and more.
Open Activities is when our staff gets to be a bit more creative and offer programs that allow campers to try a little bit of everything (and hopefully some things that they haven’t yet tried). Open Activities may include activities such as tomahawk throwing, paintball slingshots, arts and crafts, crate stacking, double ball, creek stomping, orienteering and much more.
Additionally, each week of the summer will have a theme. Both Camper’s Choice and Open Activities often get tailored to match the theme of the week and special programs will occur, culminating in a large “all camp” activity on Friday. Campers are encouraged to dress the part and bring supplies to fit each theme.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: RED OAK JUNIOR COUNSELOR LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (JCLP)
For young men and women ages 13-16.

This program is perfect for former Red Barn or Chincapin campers, who want to continue a camp experience and prepare for a leadership role. The skills gained through JCLP will help carry Junior Counselors through high school, college, and beyond.
JCLP is a mixture of fun and learning. Participants have a chance to be campers, and work to master Red Oak’s many activities, such as archery, canoeing, climbing and high adventure, fishing, outdoor cooking, nature/science, and riflery. JCLP participants will also get the chance to work with our staff to learn risk management, age and social characteristics, First Aid, songs and games, and much more.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We only accept serious players with previous competitive soccer experience. Every year talented players attend our camps and challenge each other to the limit, growing in skill and experience. A number of our campers have experienced training trials with professional clubs in Holland. Our programs are designed to help players achieve their maximum potential through progressive exercises that are individually challenging, as well as appropriate to the age and ability of each player.
We fly in our coaches directly from the Netherlands. They are not merely coaches: they are also teachers. Many of our coaches have graduated from a four- year CIOS College. At the Central Institution of Sports, coaches not only received their coaching licenses from the global leader in soccer development: KNVB (Royal Dutch Soccer Federation) but also learn how to work with, encourage and incentivize young athletes. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Di-losophy - Are you intrigued? Di-losophy is simply my take on how I got here, my yoga thoughts and the amazing benefits on the body and mind for YOU. Hi! I am Diane Six and love teaching my clients how to "pause".
Once upon a time I loved moving my body and staying flexible as a kid - in dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading. As time went on and those activites dwindles, I searched for a fun way to continue being limber as my thirty-something years neared. Working out in the gym didn't really stick with me like I wanted. Neither did any running, cycling or swimming at that time.
One day I decided to try a community yoga class. I had no true idea what to expect, but I purchased a yoga mat, bought a cute outfit and headed with my water bottle to the recreation center in Dublin, OH. I had no idea how this would change my life -- forever.
Long story short - I feel in love with yoga for all the endless wellness benefits. I was walking taller (more that my normal 5' 3" girl height who wears heels everyday). I just felt more align and stronger in my body. I ran quicker up the steps with a bounce. My mind felt sharper, clearer and overall stress relief. Plus I had fun! Wha just happened?
After 15 years of practicing yoga, I wanted to share how to achieve those balanced results with anyone ages 11 - 111. I launched this Yoga Works! in 2013 as a studio-less yoga coach.
I come to you (home, office, school - you name it). Just one of the many perks of this flexi-local yoga teaching.
When we work 1:1, you will discover yoga is more than just the asana (poses) it's about YOU being in that moment on your mat [TWEET it] - "the journey", listening to your body - "intuition", and giving you the physical and mental nurishment YOU need to survive.
FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Day 1 - Basics of yoga poses and how the breath can help your mind and body be calm. Yogis will learn warm-up techniques, standing poses, balancing, seated poses and cool down techniques. Break out groups into partner pose work and journaling of thoughts to end the day.
Day 2 - Building of advanced yoga poses and meditation techniques on positive thinking. Break out groups to create a yoga sequence for instructor to teach, and capping it off with journaling of thoughts to end the day.
Day 3 - Yogis will feel knowledgable and confident to create a yoga class and teach in groups created on Day 2. Camp will end with personal journaling that the girls can keep and reject back on what was learned.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Year round activities include Yoga Club in the Dublin Schools through the Dublin Recreation Community activities.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Complete info on the camp can be found at Our Camp Website Link: www.thisyogaworks.com. Camp fee is $150, and there is an early bird savings of $25 if you register before May 15, 2016.

And it makes a huge difference in their lives and the lives of those around them.

▌Read More about Red Cross Leadership Development Camp
CAMP FACILITIES: On the campus of Xavier University; campers will stay in on-campus residence halls
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: It works like this: More than 100 teenagers from around the region spend four days and three nights on a college campus, eating in the cafeteria, playing on the green space, sleeping in the dorms, all away from their parents and annoying siblings. (Or is that siblings and annoying parents? Whatever.) They participate in workshops and sessions on various “teen-related” topics, like public speaking (OMG NO!), volunteerism (OK, that’s cool) and ethics (I don’t know, what would you do?). There are also games, guest speakers and activities, all of which are structured to help young people recognize their leadership potential and encourage them to act upon it.
All of the activities are organized and run by a team of teen counselors who have already experienced LDC as campers and want to give back to the next camper group—with the support from college counselors and adult advisors, of course.
Campers also find that—through shared experiences—they make new friends from many different walks of life, often forming bonds of friendship that extend beyond the four days of camp. LDC participants spend a minimum of 6–12 hours volunteering for the Red Cross in the year following their LDC experience.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Active Learning Services, Ltd operates enrichment programs designed to stimulate creative thinking, improve thinking, logic and memory skills and give children "thinking alternatives" to sports camps and other summer programs. Our programs include chess programs and camps thru USA Chess, Our Gamebuilder Video Game Creation Programs and our Active Learning Computer Enrichment Programs.
Our staff is, comprised of the best children's chess instructors in North America! The USA Chess camps are uniquely qualified to cater to the needs of the advanced scholastic player as well as the true beginner. USA Chess hit its first milestone in the summer of 2000 producing the largest chess camp ever held in the United States, with more than 250 students enrolled. What was most surprising, however, was the amount of absolute beginners in attendance - more than 50% of the total enrollment was just starting to play chess. This realization led to the national rollout tour of 100 camps in more than 70 cities. The annual tours have been immensely successful with several thousand campers attending this year alone.
USA Chess thrives on providing a structured environment that is extremely conducive to learning chess. We handpick the best children's chess instructors from all over the United States and bring them to each camp. We believe our team is most effective in teaching chess to children of all ages and levels. The exceptional organization and ever-fun curriculum has fueled much interest from scholastic players and coaches from around the country, prompting them to request USA Chess camps in their areas.
At the same summer camp locations, we also offer the immensely popular Gamebuilder Video Game Creation Camps, The Active Learning Computer Animation Programs, and other Computer Enrichment Programs such as Modding, Networking and Hosting with Minecraft. We now offer seven unique programs in all.
At these camps, children are assigned a computer for the week; they spend the week learning to create their own one-of- a- kind video games in our Gamebuilder Camps, Animation Projects in our Animation Camps, also Modding, Networking and Hosting with Minecraft.

We have a recreation/dining hall, craft room, garden, lake for canoeing/kayaking and fishing, pool for swimming, and garden.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Wyandot, Inc. was founded as a Camp Fire Council in 1913. In 1928, the council became an Ohio nonprofit corporation and purchased Camp Wyandot in the Hocking Hills. As of April 31, 2013, Camp Wyandot, Inc. became an independent organization and is no longer affiliated with Camp Fire.
Today, Camp Wyandot serves boys and girls with summer day and overnight camps and our Wyandot Explorers Club program.
Camp Wyandot provides an inclusive nurturing environment for youth to have fun, make friends, serve others, and explore the great outdoors.
Young people are interdependent with the natural world, yet know relatively little about it through direct experience. Through our overnight and day camp programs, we encourage development of natural senses and provide an intimate connection with nature while youth learn leadership, cooperation with others, and community responsibility while building self-awareness and forming friendships.
Camp Wyandot Overnight and Day Camps are offered during the summer for youths of all ages and include activities such as outdoor skills, camp outs, creeking, hiking, crafts, swimming/swimming lessons, kayaking/canoeing, archery, and special themed programs. We offer leadership programs at both our overnight and day camps. Currently, our day camp program is held at Highbanks Metro Park. We have American Camp Association (ACA) Accreditation which means that Camp Wyandot has undergone a thorough (up to 300 standards) review of its operation — from staff qualifications and training to emergency management.
Camp Wyandot’s overall goal is to provide a quality experience that builds competencies and creates positive life-long memories in a safe and supportive environment.
In an inclusive, engaging, and challenging environment, youth will:
-Increase their social and cultural competencies and feel a sense of belonging
-Develop leadership, teamwork, and cooperation skills
-Increase self-confidence, independence and empowerment
-Plan, make choices, reflect and learn from their decisions
-Build a life-long appreciation and respect for the outdoor environment
-Develop a sense of respect, responsibility and contribution to their community
-Be involved in rich group experiences that are inherently interesting and fun
-Be recognized for their accomplishments
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: A CIT (counselor in training) is a camper enrolled in a specialized leadership program which is designed to build up behavior management, risk management/safety awareness, communication, decision making, team building, and interdependency within a community.
The program aims to utilize this combination of skills to develop effective future leaders. A CIT should gain not only greater confidence and sense of accomplishment, but also a variety of skills and knowledge that will help them develop as competent leaders in all walks of life, not just a camp setting. The program accepts a limited number of applicants per session.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Payment assistance/camperships available. Application deadline April 15.
FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Fourth of July Family Celebration - Join in a special family camp program with your whole family in your own cabin. An assigned counselor will help with scheduling and leading activities. During the day and the evening of the 4th of July, there will be a special celebration for the whole camp.
The cost for Family Camp is $45.00 per person which includes two nights lodging and 4 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday and breakfast on Saturday). Children age 3 and under are free.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Wyandot Explorer Club Program is community based and volunteer run arranged by age and geographical location. Wyandot Explorers build on four explorer categories: Community Exploration, Self-Exploration, Environmental and Science Exploration, and Creative Exploration. Clubs meet during the school year and we provide the training, the framework, the materials, and the support for each club. A volunteer adult leader guides, coaches, and supervises the club’s progress which differ depending on age.
Weekend Themed Programs are offered at Camp Wyandot for families and individuals that highlight nature activities and exploration and provide networking opportunities.
