CAMP FACILITIES: Overnight students participating in the Summer Intensive program will stay at the UCF campus dorms and bus over to the studios in the morning, located in downtown Orlando.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The OBS Summer Intensive is for intermediate through advanced students ages 11 and up. International guest teachers supplement our professional, ABT Curriculum certified staff. Classes in ballet, character, pointe, variations, modern, jazz, men’s, partnering and nutrition are offered. Students participate in an average of six hours of daily training Monday through Saturday. Student housing, transportation, and supervision are offered for participants. Structured recreational time and several trips to major theme parks are also included as an option. Only exceptional students are selected from a combination of national auditions and mailed DVD submissions.

June 20 – 24 Blacklight Camp #1: This is the personal favorite of all. Learn how to flow with almost all the weapons of the martial arts in black light. This is an experience you don’t want to miss. The campers will put on a show for all their friends and family that they won’t soon forget.

June 27 – July 1 Survivor / Fear Factor Camp: There will be no eating bugs in this camp, but your team building skills will be put to the test with this all out fun and challenging survivor type Karate camp. This camp is a must for people who enjoy a truly challenging and rewarding activity.

July 5 – 8 Karate Arts Got Talent: America’s Got Talent is a fan favorite show that allows anyone to compete with a variety of acts. This is the ultimate talent show. So it’s time to show the world your Secret Talent! No Camp on Monday July 4th

July 11 – 15 Be A Movie Star Camp: During this camp, children will write a script, create and produce the set, and Star in their very own Movie. Each child will take home their copy of the Karate Arts Movie Camp Production for the entire family to laugh with and enjoy.

July 18 – 22 DIY Pinterest Projects Camp: During this camp, children will create and make very cool Pinterest DIY projects, and each child will take home their creations for the entire family to enjoy. There will other activities trough out the week like Water Day.

They will learn how to recognize what bullying is and how to stand up to it safely and Gain self-confidence. Also we will have a Stranger Danger Awareness class for all campers.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a small and super safe, bright, and comfortable facility to teach STEM.

Participate in a split-day camp with other children in their age group (5-6, 7-9), doing coding activities in the morning and robotics/engineering challenges in the afternoon.

Enjoy, every day, 5 hours of personalized project-based instruction plus 2 hours of interest-based projects and socializing time.

Learn to design, create, and program (code) their own interactive stories, games, and animations.

Build and program robots using a particular platform (5-6), an edition of Lego bricks (7-9), and open-source microcontrollers and drones (10-12), using a curriculum developed especially for them.

Improv-a-thon
July 15 - July 26. Performance July 26 at 6pm. Camp runs from 9am - 3pm. For advanced 8th - 12th graders. A two-week acting & play-building workshop for creative teenagers and young adults. We combine improvisation techniques, writing, visual art, storytelling, and community engagement to create an original piece. Limited to 15 participants. Register early! This year's theme: Road Trip. Camp A-Go-Go �Go-Go 2:
July 8 - July 12 Camp runs from 9am - 1pm. For 1st - 4th graders. One week creative dramatic camps encompassing theater games, storytelling, dress-up, pantomime, singing, and dancing. Non-stop fun and learning as students learn self-control and ignite their creativity within a group setting. For our youngest campers emphasis is on focus, theater vocabulary, expressing oneself non-verbally. Cost: $175. Deposit of $75 due at registration.

Get In The Character Zone �Zone X:
June 10 - June 14 �Zone Y: July 9 - July 13 Camp runs from 9am - 1pm. For rising 5th - 10th graders. This one week acting camp employs improvisation, theater games, and pantomime encouraging teamwork, concentration, and the creation of characters and scenes. This popular, fun camp builds listening, focus, blocking, and projection skills. Highly recommended for both the beginner and returning student, it culminates with a showcase. Tuition: $175. CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: A limited amount of scholarship dollars are available to those students who demonstrate a passion for the theater. They are allocated based on need and on a first-come first-served basis.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Players by the Sea Theatre School of the Arts offers a safe and intimate environment where students can improve their skills, and "practice" their craft through two hour acting labs throughout the year.

Labs utilize improvisational techniques allowing the actor to engage his creativity, develop his listening and focusing skills, and spontaneously use his intuition to make choices in the moment. All of the activities engaged in class promote confidence, leadership and team work.

Katerina Romanenko, Ph.D. Assistant Director of Youth and Family Programs

An experienced educator and visual culture historian, Dr. Romanenko specializes in Museum education, art history, American History, and object-based learning in formal and informal environments. She holds a PhD in Art History from the City University of New York and for more than 15 years teaches art history and works in Museum education. She also holds a BA in Education Sciences and has experience in research, development and implementation of educational programs for different age groups.

Alicia Mino, Art Educator, Manager of the School and Community Programs

An accomplished practicing artists and art educator, Alicia Mino received her Master’s in visual communication from the Metropolitan University of Chile, She spent fifteen years in Italy studying art history, oil painting, and sculpture. She presented in numerous art exhibitions and founded the Mates Art and Design Studio, where she taught drawing, oil/acrylic painting, and sculpture fundamentals for ten years. In 2008 Alicia moved to Philadelphia where she continues to exhibit her work and teaches art.

Lindsey Murphy, Art Educator and K-8 Program Coordinator

An art educator with over a decade of experience in the field of education, Lindsey Murphy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology; concentration in Archaeology from Millersville University, and an Elementary Teaching Certification from Millersville University. She worked as a general education classroom teacher in the Oxford Area School District in Chester County, PA for 8 years, and has worked in PAFA’s education department over the past 11 years creating and implementing numerous museum tours and art making experiences for children and families of all backgrounds, becoming the K-8 Program Coordinator in 2019..

Melissa Hendrixson, Art Educator

Melissa Hendrixson is an artist and art educator who has worked in Museum Education for over five years. She has her Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Studio Certificate from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and has gained experience through assisting the coordination and development of various museum programming including family programs, youth art classes, and summer camps. She now works for the School and Community Partnership Program as an art educator where she develops and implements museum tours, school lessons, and community outreach programs to support student learning, parental engagement and visual literacy initiatives.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our top decks can currently accommodate 144 students a week in our junior officer state rooms, which house six students each. Our virtual aircraft carrier, AMBITION, also has a deck where all the learning facilities are located, and another deck where we house our flight simulators.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The National Flight Academy offers one of the most exciting and immersive learning experiences in the world- inspiring 5-12th graders to take an interest in science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), in an aviation-themed adventure aboard a massive virtual aircraft carrier, AMBITION (CVT-11). This four-story 102,000 square foot facility is designed scenically and theatrically to simulate a modern aircraft carrier.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have the finest instruction facility in the area; multiple video rooms, a state of the art hitting bay, and separate putting studio housing V1 Video Systems, Trackman Launch Monitors, and the SAM Putt Lab System. Also included is the exclusive Mike Bender Wedge Range and MEGSA Perfect Practice Equipment that each camper will get a chance to use during their week in our Elite Program.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This Elite Junior Golf Camp is designed for the competitive junior golfer who already plays competitively on his/her high school golf team and/or currently competes in junior golf tournaments throughout the season. Throughout this intense, week long experience, each camper will gain exposure to all facets of the game including the mental and fitness side. Each day will include technical lessons from Mike Bender, himself, as well as his PGA certified instructional staff.

Mike and his staff have trained former #1 junior amateur ranked players for both boys and girls divisions. Many attendees of this camp have gone on to join our full time Elite Program, competed collegiately, and won many AJGA Championships. Both Mike Bender and Cheryl Anderson, MBGA Director of Instruction, have previously won LPGA and PGA honors as Teachers of the Year. Mike Bender is currently ranked #4 on the Golf Digest Best Teachers in America. CAMP FACILITIES: We have a 50' round pen to start off beginners, a medium and a large enclosed arena with barrels and jumps for more advanced riding. In the large stableyard, we have lot's of cross ties so that all horses are crosstied to be groomed and tacked. There are several mounting blocks/steps to make it easier to get on the horses.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We usually have pre-vet and animal science students from UF and provide training for volunteers. We like to maintain a high counsellor-to-camper ratio.

Our instructor is the program director and the farm owner/manager is support staff and volunteer coordinator.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): On Friday, family is invited to a "horse show," in which campers show friends and family the skills they've learned. It will include a mounted relay race, an obstacle/agility challenge and perhaps surprise presentations.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We offer riding lessons throughout the year and (for more advanced riders) a partial lease program in which the rider pays by the month for a certain number of rides per week (arena or trail).

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: San Pedro Catholic Camp is staffed by qualified young men and women who are active in Church ministry and have a deep sense of God in their own lives. All staff members have been screened by the State of Florida, fingerprinted by the Diocese of Orlando, and are well trained for their positions, including certification on working with young people in a safe environment through the American Camp Association.

Overnight and Day Camp participants are offered an opportunity to unplug from distractions and take a step back from everyday life to create important lasting relationships. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mustard Seed Camp is offering tickets to fly “AIR TEEN MISSIONS” on the newly constructed (non-moveable) airplane. Enjoy “in flight” snacks and video presentations of Teen Missions ministries around the world. You will have your “passport” stamped for each country you “visit”. Train as a Flight Cadet for Jesus when you memorize Scripture, participate in Bible stories, run the Obstacle Course and work on crafts to earn your Wordless Book badges. At the end of the program, you will know how to share the plan of salvation with others. You will also earn the Mustard Seed Wings when you complete your training.

Teen Missions was founded in 1970 by a group of men and women who were passionate about getting youth involved in missions. The founder and director, Robert M. Bland, spent many years as a Youth For Christ director in Chillicothe, Ohio and recruitment director for the Christian Service Corps. The years he spent in ministry made him aware of several things that birthed the idea of Teen Missions:

There were many young people who wanted to serve the Lord in missions, but were not extremely talented and did not have the required skills.

A young girl once said that everyone had explained to her, “Come back when you have finished college and then you can get involved in the Lord’s work.” She stated, “I want to do something for the Lord now, not five years from now.”
In many mission conferences there were no teenagers present at all. They evidently felt that missions were for older people. Mr. Bland felt there was an obvious need to get teenagers involved since they are the next generation of missionaries and leaders.

The innovative idea of involving teenagers in missions continued to develop and that summer the first Teen Missions team embarked to the country of Mexico. Though it was a meager beginning, the program took off and now boasts of over 40 teams that travel to 30 some countries each year. The goal of Teen Missions is to awaken teenagers to the needs in missions, acquaint them with the reality of life on the mission field and give them an opportunity to serve the Lord through work projects and evangelism. Each team member is required to raise their own support to cover the cost of their summer team, which gives them practical experience in raising finances, similar to what other missionaries must do before they go overseas. The money the teens raise goes towards building costs, plane tickets, food and any other supplies needed for their time overseas.

Either a parent/guardian or an adult approved by the parent/guardian, must accompany each Mustard Seed for the entire duration of the program. The adult will sleep in the same tent as the Mustard Seed participant. The adult’s expense is the $30 registration fee plus the $119 project expense.

CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Challenge is a fully accessible facility complete with central heating and air, roll-in showers, and recently updated cabins. We also have a state of the art swimming pool, zip line and climbing wall, petting farm, arts and crafts barn, and rustic pavilion with a fireplace. CAMP FACILITIES: We feel that a camp experience should be one filed with the allure of living outdoors. Part of the experience is the soothing sounds of the Florida night. Our rustic cabins give the camper the perfect blend of the outdoor experience and a few comforts of home. Our cabins have 12-16 bunks, ceiling fans, power, storage shelves and a front porch. Teen campers enrolled in Camp Warrior live in more modern cabins complete with air conditioning, lofts, and a kitchenette. Bathhouses are located next to the cabin areas. Each bathhouse features toilets, sinks, and private shower stalls.

The flagship of our facilities is our newer 14,000 square foot activities center complete with 24 stall center isle barn, with tack rooms, wash bays, bathrooms and indoor skatepark. This 40 acre facility also houses our new high ropes challenge course designed by Project Adventure and our ATV track. Next to our activities center is our new camp office which includes a recording studio and comfortable, climate controlled activity room for Camp Warrior. An extensive renovation plan is in place over the next three years that will transform camp!

Another high point of Camp Indian Springs facilities is our natural fresh water spring. This natural wonder is over 40′ deep in some places! For most of the year the water flows clear and it always remains a refreshing 68 degrees. Indian Springs is internationally know as one of the best cave systems in the world to dive. This is where we grow the future camp staff and world leaders of tomorrow. Our Counselor In Training program is the first step to become a camp staff member. The program is for campers age 15 to 17 who desire to become camp staff. The program is designed to teach young men and women to become productive leaders and staff members. A majority of the camp’s current staff have come up through our C.I.T. program.

C.I.T.s are placed in a younger cabin with a Senior and Junior counselor and have a vital role in cabin leadership. C.I.Ts also take a C.I.T. only class and assist in other classes throughout the day.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: CHESS: The main objective of this program is the use of chess playing as a tool to improve your child’s: self confidence, imagination, concentration and intuition, logical and critical thinking, and reasoning skills.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YMCA Camp Winona provides a great traditional, overnight camping experience. We try to balance tradition with the interests of today’s campers by offering fun, exciting and safe activities. Campers are grouped by age and gender and stay in small rustic cabins complete with built in bunk beds and air conditioning. There are up to 12 campers and two staff in each cabin surrounding centrally located bathhouses. Our meals are prepared by our camp chefs and served family style in our air conditioned dining hall. Our well-balanced meals include cereal, salad bar and sandwich options for those campers wishing an alternative/supplement to the meal. We are equipped to accommodate food allergies and special dietary needs.

Our Resident Camp provides an exciting, safe community for young people to explore the outdoors, build self-esteem, develop interpersonal skills, create lasting friendships and make incredible memories. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Soccer players in the state of Florida can now experience the coaching expertise of Coach Mike Brizendine, and enjoy meeting new friends and having serious fun on campus at Florida State! Campers will learn principles of attacking and defending, combination play, pressure-cover-balance, flank play, counter attacking, zonal defending, finishing, and more.

We break down the game, and focus on individual topics for each session and then practice in small sided games. Our system of coaching gives players the chance to make better decisions while playing at a faster pace, reaching a new level of awareness and understanding of the game. We make camp competitive as the players push themselves. During the week players compete in small sided tournaments and evening games. Registration is limited to ages 10-18.

When the rehearsal are over, Overnight Campers will be able to take a break from their instrument while they explore Disney Parks, and participate in other fun activities with their fellow campers. At the end of the camp, students will perform in a concert at the Walt Disney World Resort Pleasure Island Downtown Disney on June 23rd, 2017.

This camp is for students who are currently in the 6th through 11th grade band and will be going into 7th through 12th grade the following school year and have played their instrument for at least one year.

HAPCO Jazz Band Camps (with Lead Instructors WyCliffe Gordon, Jeff Rupert, Scott Wilson, and Dr Otto Gomez) are designed to accommodate musicians ranging from the less experienced to the most talented, with a minimum of one year of training on their chosen instrument. CAMP FACILITIES: Boarding students will reside at the University of North Florida in dormitories with private bathrooms. Full meal service is included and transportation on charter buses between Florida Ballet Training Center and UNF will be provided. Optional outings to the beach and other destinations may be offered. Boarding students will check in on Sunday, June 8 and check out on Saturdday, June 21.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The OBS Summer Intensive is for intermediate through advanced students ages 11 and up. International guest teachers supplement our professional, ABT Curriculum certified staff. Classes in ballet, character, pointe, variations, modern, jazz, men’s, partnering and nutrition are offered. Students participate in an average of six hours of daily training Monday through Saturday.

Student housing, transportation, and supervision are offered for participants. Structured recreational time and several trips to major theme parks are also included as an option. Only exceptional students are selected from a combination of national auditions and mailed DVD submissions.

Our camper to counselor ratio is better than 1 to 5 campers, and this does not include our wonderful C.I.T.’s. Each elective is run by professional instructors.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Juniors all around the world attend GGGA Summer Camps because they want to truly train with other juniors who aspire to be great and work with a team who has trained and developed some of the best juniors and professionals in the game.

GGGA Summer Camps provide an interactive learning environment for junior golfers to learn how to improve their fundamentals, establish the development of their game and get a glimpse of what it’s like to train in our Full-Time Junior Program.

Following the same philosophy as our Full-Time Junior Program, Summer Golf Camps at the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy is a golf camp for juniors with the option for tournaments that encompasses GGGA’s five areas of specialized and individualized training with:

CAMP FACILITIES: This camp is held at the Miami Seaquarium which is home to dolphins, turtles, seals, sea lions, sharks, fish, invertebrates, tropical birds, reptiles, penguins and so much more!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Join our S.E.A. Camp crew for a fun-filled week of science, conservation, activities, exploration, and all of the animals at the Miami Seaquarium! Campers will spend their days outside enjoying, the beach and exploring the Biscayne Bay ecosystem. Science experiments, conservation projects and animal observations are all included in this one-of-kind day camp experience. Our S.E.A. camps will conclude with an exciting in-water dolphin encounter and graduation ceremony.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We also offer spring break camps, winter holiday camps, homeschool programs, mommy and me programs, overnight trips, and more year round!

CAMP FACILITIES: Freedom is an authentic replica of a nineteenth century blockade-runner. She is a double masted, gaff-rigged, topsail schooner. Naval architect Merritt Walters and his marine construction company, Rover Marine, Inc., designed and built Freedom, the first of his many Rover schooners, in 1982 in Norfolk, Virginia.

The Schooner Freedom is built of steel with aluminum masts and spars. The Freedom’s sparred length is 76 feet while her length on deck is 64 feet. Freedom’s beam is a 15 feet 4 inches and her draft is a little less than 6 feet. Her mast height is 62 feet and she carries a total sail area of 2400 feet. She has bunks for 20 overnight passengers, 2 captains, and 4 crew. She has a complete galley, salon, and head. She carries all the appropriate safety and life saving gear, which, along with the crew and vessel, is inspected and licensed by the United States Coast Guard on an annual basis.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This upcoming summer we are proud to announce that we will be offering 2 one week-long sailing camps. Sailors will be placed in the week that corresponds with the grade they will be entering. The sailing camp introduces teens to life aboard a classic schooner while sailing the northeast Florida and southeast Georgia coast.

Campers will come aboard and take over! We will have a blast sailing, fishing, swimming, exploring barrier islands, kayaking, and making memories to last a lifetime. Parents will be kept updated on their sailors location and fun by frequent blog posts and a closed Facebook group, updated at least twice daily.

Nothing gives a sailor more joy than knowing they can confidently take the helm or set a sail on a tall ship. Our goal is to instill in our sailors a respect for the ocean, a love for the traditions of tall ship sailing, and, more than anything, to experience the sheer joy of a fresh breeze in the sails, the glory of a starry night at anchorage, and the bonding that takes place between a crew at sea.

Our captains are all 100 tons Masters, licensed by the United States Coast Guard, with certifications in sailing, as well as CPR and First Aid. Our captains and crew are all subject to pre-employment and random alcohol and drug tests, monitored by the U.S. Coast Guard. Our captains and crew combine for a total of over 50 years of traditional tall ship sailing experience.

July 28 - August 3, 2014 - sailors entering 9th - 12th grade
The cost of the 1 week camp is $1350 per camper and includes all meals and camp t-shirts. A 50% deposit is due upon acceptance to the camp with the balance due one month before departure.

Spots are limited and booked on a first come, first served basis.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camps feature a fun "guided discovery" program for our younger players featuring age appropriate practices, combined with small sided games and competitions.

Our "total soccer" philosophy will challenge our older players to improve their technique on the ball and improve their tactical understanding of the modern game.

All of our staff are qualified with English and USSF "A" licenses with many years experience coaching professional clubs youth teams in England and top clubs in the USA.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This day camp has fun filled days with classes at our Central, and South Campuses including ballet, jazz, and musical theatre. It is targeted to beginning and intermediate students ages 7 through 12.

Students can participate in half or full-day sessions. After technique classes are completed, students can have fun with acting classes, arts and crafts, games, and movies.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Orlando Ballet School offers classes year round.
